According to statistics Åland has the most sunshine in Northern Europe between May and August. Combine that with our long light days and you will have extraordinary good filming conditions in summertime.
Åland has four seasons: Spring normally starts in March and summer in June. Autumn starts in September and winter in December.
We cannot guarantee snow for your production. Some winters are white with ice roads between the main islands – others are just green. But we can guarantee no light pollution – the autumn and winter nights are dark enough for you to enjoy bright stars and sometimes even the Northern Light.
